Welcome to my blog, where I’ll be sharing thoughts, tips, and talking about life as a creative!
My name is Tülin Khalid-Azim, and I am a self-taught artist and calligrapher. My degree is in Theatre and French, both of which are still an important part of my life. In 2014, we moved to Lahore for my husband’s new job, which meant that I had left my job at Kuch Khaas in Islamabad. My kids both started school that autumn, and I found myself with something unprecedented for many years – time to myself.
As a kid, I loved doing calligraphy, and got my first set in the 6th grade. I also used to draw and throughout my life, but as an adult, had let it slip. I finally picked up the pen again, as well as my watercolours, and have never looked back.
I believe we are drawn to what we love to do as children, and if we are very lucky, we keep playing well into adulthood, and that’s where the magic happens. I hope you’ll find something that resonates with you here, and perhaps even inspires you to return to a childhood dream.
